Anti-MVK Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the mevalonate kinase (MVK) target, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com detects endogenous MVK protein in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. MVK phosphorylates mevalonate to mevalonate-5-phosphate, a regulated early step in the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway that is relevant to studies of statin pharmacology, isoprenoid production, and genetic disorders such as mevalonic aciduria and hyper-IgD syndrome caused by MVK mutations. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
