This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets MURF1 (Muscle RING Finger 1), an E3 ubiquitin ligase encoded by the TRIM63 gene that marks contractile substrates for proteasomal degradation in striated muscle. MURF1 is a key regulator of skeletal muscle atrophy and cardiac proteostasis, interacting with titin, myosin heavy chains, and other sarcomeric proteins to coordinate protein turnover under catabolic conditions such as disuse, denervation, glucocorticoid exposure, and heart failure.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum, the reagent is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, making it useful for studies of muscle wasting disorders, cachexia, cardiomyopathies, and exercise-induced remodeling. It also supports work on the broader ubiquitin-proteasome system, where MURF1 acts alongside related family members MURF2 and MURF3 to shape muscle mass and contractile function.

Recommended storage is at -20 °C in working aliquots to preserve reactivity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
