Human MUC13 (mucin 13) is a transmembrane mucin glycoprotein anchored to the apical membrane of gastrointestinal epithelial cells, where its tandem-repeat ectodomain contributes to the protective mucus layer and its short cytoplasmic tail participates in receptor-like signaling. Aberrant glycosylation and overexpression of MUC13 have been reported in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, ovarian carcinoma, colorectal tumors, and gastric cancer, making it a useful research target for epithelial barrier biology and oncology biomarker studies. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human MUC13 sequence and is supplied as an unconjugated antiserum in a 100 µl volume. It is validated for Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human samples and detects the endogenous target without a directly attached reporter, so users can pair it with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents matched to their chromogenic, immunofluorescent, or chemiluminescent readout. To preserve polyclonal titer, aliquot upon arrival and store frozen, limiting freeze-thaw cycles that otherwise degrade polyclonal activity.
