Polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous Mitochondrial Tumor Suppressor 1 (MTUS1) protein in mouse and rat samples by Western blot. The target, also referenced as ATIP1, MTSG1, MP44, or microtubule-associated scaffold protein 1, is a ubiquitously expressed scaffold that interacts with the angiotensin II type 2 receptor (AT2) and cooperates with it to inhibit growth factor-induced ERK2 activation and cell proliferation. Five alternatively spliced transcript variants (ATIP1 through ATIP4) have been described, with the highest expression reported in brain tissue and a documented role as a mitochondrial tumor suppressor relevant to hepatocellular carcinoma research.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot, the unconjugated antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on MTUS1, supporting reproducible band detection across the 30, 60, 120, and 180 kDa polypeptides produced by alternative splicing. Endogenous MTUS1 expression can be assessed under denaturing conditions, following standard SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting workflows on lysates prepared from rodent tissue or relevant cell-line models. Intended for research use only in studies of cytoskeletal regulation, mitochondrial signaling, angiotensin-II receptor biology, and tumor-suppressor pathways relevant to oncology, neuroscience, and cell biology.
