Anti-mTOR (phospho-S2448) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes the mechanistic Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) only when phosphorylated at serine 2448, the Akt/PKB-dependent site commonly used as a read-out of PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway activation. Raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 15 mM sodium azide, the antibody is supplied as a 100 µl vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers use it to follow downstream signaling events linked to cell growth, protein synthesis, autophagy, and survival, and to monitor pharmacologic responses to kinase inhibitors and rapalogs in cancer, metabolic, and neuroscience studies.
