Anti-mTOR (phospho S2448) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com recognises the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) when phosphorylated at serine 2448. It is supplied as an unconjugated liquid reagent and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples.

The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence applications. Recommended starting dilutions are 1:500–1:1,000 for Western blot and 1:50–1:200 for ICC/IF. It was raised against a synthetic phosphorylated peptide corresponding to the region surrounding S2448 of human mTOR (NP_004949.1), with the immunogen sequence TDSYS. The target has a reported molecular weight of 289 kDa and the reagent is purified by affinity chromatography.

The formulation is phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.3, containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon delivery, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. For research use only; it is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
