MTM1 (myotubularin) is a phosphoinositide 3-phosphatase encoded on the X chromosome that dephosphorylates phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and PtdIns3,5P2 at the endosomal membrane. Loss-of-function variants in the gene cause X-linked myotubular myopathy (XLMTM), a severe congenital muscle disorder, and the protein is most abundantly expressed in skeletal muscle, where it regulates endosomal trafficking and sarcotubular organization.

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against human MTM1 and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal antiserum, allowing direct labeling with secondary reporters of choice. It is used to probe endogenous myotubularin levels in muscle lysates, fixed tissue sections, and cultured myogenic cells, supporting studies of centronuclear myopathy, phosphoinositide lipid signaling, and membrane remodeling.
