Antibodies.com offers primary antibodies targeting MTAP (5'-deoxy-5'-methylthioadenosine phosphorylase), an enzyme involved in polyamine metabolism and the salvage of adenine and methionine. The range includes unconjugated polyclonal and monoclonal options supplied as liquid preparations. The MTAP gene is linked to the tumour suppressor gene p16INK4A, and deficient MTAP levels can occur in cancers primarily through co-deletion of MTAP and p16INK4A.

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies are raised against either a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-283 of human MTAP (NP_002442.2) or a synthetic peptide within amino acid region 233-283 of the human methylthioadenosine phosphorylase protein; both are affinity purified and react with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. A mouse monoclonal antibody (clone MTAP/1813), purified by Protein A/G chromatography, is raised against a recombinant fragment of human MTAP (around amino acids 97-196) and reacts with Human samples only. Reported target molecular weights are 29 kDa for the polyclonal raised against the full-length fusion protein and 31 kDa for the monoclonal [MTAP/1813].

Applications supported across the range include Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation (IP), and Dot Blot. Recommended starting dilutions and concentrations vary by product: WB 1:500-1:1,000 (polyclonal) or 1-2 µg/ml (monoclonal); IHC 1:50-1:200 (polyclonal) or 1-2 µg/ml (monoclonal); ICC/IF 1:50-1:200; ELISA 1:10,000; IP 1:150; Dot Blot 1:10,000. Antibodies are shipped at 4°C; upon delivery they should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
