The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody reagent targets MTA3 (Metastasis-Associated protein 3), a chromatin-associated transcriptional regulator that functions as a core subunit of the Mi-2/NuRD nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase complex. MTA3 contributes to gene silencing programs linked with epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, and altered MTA3 expression has been documented in studies of breast carcinoma and other solid tumours, making the reagent useful for investigators focused on metastatic signalling, chromatin biology, and cancer cell plasticity research.

Supplied as 100 µl of rabbit polyclonal antiserum at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol, the unconjugated antibody is validated for Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples. The polyclonal format provides broad epitope recognition across the target, supporting detection in whole-tissue lysates as well as formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. Aliquots are recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles during repeated use, and the sodium azide component protects against microbial contamination during repeated handling.

Researchers evaluating NuRD-mediated transcriptional repression, EMT marker panels, or MTA1/MTA2/MTA3 family cross-comparison studies will find this reagent compatible with standard chromogenic and chemiluminescent detection chemistries. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of secondary reporter, HRP polymer, or fluorescent label open to match downstream assay requirements.
