Raised in rabbit against human MSTO1 (Misato Mitochondrial Distribution and Morphology Regulator 1), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µL of ready-to-titrate reagent for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. MSTO1 is a mitochondrial protein that participates in mitochondrial network formation and morphology, and pathogenic variants in the MSTO1 gene have been linked to autosomal dominant mitochondrial myopathy with early respiratory involvement.

The antibody recognizes endogenous MSTO1 in human cell and tissue preparations, making it relevant for studies of mitochondrial dynamics, mtDNA maintenance disorders, and the cellular consequences of altered mitochondrial morphology. As an unconjugated primary reagent, it pairs with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies chosen by the researcher, supporting chemiluminescent western blot detection and chromogenic or fluorescent immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections.

Reactivity is established for human samples. The 100 µL volume should be stored refrigerated and protected from light, with aliquoting into smaller working volumes recommended to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
