Anti-MSR1 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against the macrophage scavenger receptor type I protein (MSR1, also known as SCARA1). It was generated using a recombinant immunogen corresponding to human MSR1 and is intended for the detection of endogenous levels of total MSR1 by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at a working concentration of approximately 1.0 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, with 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. Vials are shipped refrigerated at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon arrival, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve activity. The reagent has been validated on three species — human, mouse, and rat samples — making it suitable for cross-species studies of MSR1 expression in macrophages and related tissues. As an IgG-class polyclonal, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on MSR1, which can improve sensitivity in IHC applications on formalin-fixed sections and in Western blots of cell lysates.
