Anti-MSR1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets MSR1 (Macrophage Scavenger Receptor 1), a trimeric transmembrane glycoprotein expressed predominantly on tissue macrophages. Also known as CD204 or SCARA1, MSR1 mediates uptake of modified lipoproteins, contributes to foam cell formation in atherosclerotic lesions, and participates in innate clearance of bacterial components and apoptotic debris.

Supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The glycerol-containing buffer permits storage at -20 °C; aliquoting on first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
