Anti-MSH2 Antibody

This polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the human DNA mismatch repair protein MSH2 (MutS Homolog 2), a core component of the MutSα heterodimer that recognizes base-base mismatches and small insertion-deletion loops during postreplication repair. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (approximately pH 7.3) with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, the antibody is packaged in a 100 µl vial and validated for Western blot (WB) detection of MSH2 in human samples. Researchers use it to probe mismatch repair pathway status in colorectal, endometrial, ovarian, and other Lynch syndrome-associated tumor models, to assess microsatellite instability phenotypes, and to monitor MSH2 expression changes following genotoxic stress, chemotherapy exposure, or experimental manipulation of MMR genes. Store refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reagent activity, and aliquot upon first use when working volumes are small.
