Anti-MRPL9 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent is raised against MRPL9, a nuclear-encoded component of the 39S large subunit of the human mitochondrial ribosome. MRPL9 contributes to mitochondrial translation of the 13 oxidative phosphorylation subunits encoded by mitochondrial DNA, making this antibody a useful reagent when investigating mitochondrial ribosome biogenesis, mitochondrial translation efficiency, or disorders of the cellular respiratory chain.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as 200 µL of polyclonal serum and is intended for research use only. Aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles; under reducing SDS-PAGE the antibody detects the approximately 30 kDa MRPL9 band, and on fixed tissue sections it produces a cytoplasmic, granular staining pattern consistent with mitochondrial localization.
