Anti-MRPL11 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes MRPL11 (Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein L11), an approximately 21 kDa component of the large subunit of the mammalian mitochondrial ribosome. MRPL11 is localized to the mitochondrial matrix and contributes to translation of mitochondrially encoded oxidative phosphorylation subunits. Published studies have linked MRPL11 to stabilization of p53 and regulation of apoptotic signaling, making the protein a target of interest in mitochondrial stress research and cell death pathways.

The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3. Each vial contains 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit and validated for western blot detection of the human protein. Aliquoting upon receipt is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity. This reagent is intended for research use only in applications such as immunoblotting of cell or tissue lysates.
