Targeting mitochondrial ribosomal protein L40, this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as a 100 µl aliquot for research workflows. The reagent has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA and reacts specifically with the human target.

MRP-L40 (also referenced as MRPL40 or uL29m) is a structural constituent of the 39S large subunit of the mitoribosome, where it contributes to intra-mitochondrial translation of the 13 oxidative phosphorylation subunits encoded by mitochondrial DNA. Researchers studying mitochondrial biogenesis, OXPHOS assembly, mitochondrial disease models, or the increasingly recognised role of mitoribosome dysregulation in cancer metabolism use this antibody to validate expression in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

For handling, store the vial at -20 °C and keep working aliquots refrigerated to limit freeze-thaw exposure; brief centrifugation before opening is recommended. The reagent is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
