Anti-MRAS Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets MRAS (muscle RAS oncogene homolog), a 24 kDa membrane-anchored small GTPase of the RAS family that functions as a regulatory subunit within the SHOC2–MRAS–PP1 ternary phosphatase holoenzyme responsible for dephosphorylating the inhibitory S259 site on CRAF (and the equivalent S365 site on BRAF), thereby sustaining ERK pathway output. Supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal antiserum for Western Blot detection of mouse MRAS, the unconjugated reagent is suited to research into Noonan syndrome 11 (NS11; OMIM 618499), a RASopathy in which germline gain-of-function substitutions such as G23V and T68I in MRAS promote enhanced ternary complex formation and dysregulated RAS-MAPK signaling. The antibody is also applicable to studies of neural crest development and tumor cell biology that depend on intact RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK cascade dynamics.
