Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG, this primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the M-Ras GTPase encoded by the MRAS gene, a close but distinct relative of classical Ras oncoproteins (H-, N-, KRAS). Supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a vial with PBS pH 7.3, 50% glycerol, and 0.02% sodium azide, the affinity-purified reagent is validated for Western blot detection of mouse M-Ras at the predicted 24 kDa band.

M-Ras carries its own unique effector biology beyond shared RAS pathway signaling: GTP-loaded M-Ras assembles with SHOC2 and the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) into a ternary phosphatase holoenzyme that specifically dephosphorylates the inhibitory S259 (CRAF), S365 (BRAF), and S214 (ARAF) 14-3-3 binding sites, thereby potentiating the RAS–RAF–MEK–ERK cascade. The antibody is therefore useful for probing M-Ras in contexts where this complex is implicated, including NGF-driven neuronal differentiation of PC12 cells, BMP2-induced osteoblast transdifferentiation from C2C12 myoblasts, dendrite remodelling through the semaphorin-4D/Plexin-B1 axis, IL-3-dependent hematopoietic proliferation in the BaF3 pro-B model, and Noonan syndrome 11 (NS11), a RASopathy caused by germline gain-of-function MRAS mutations.

Store at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The polyclonal serum is suitable for research use only, supports interrogation of M-Ras expression in murine brain, heart, and other tissues that express the gene (UniProt O08989), and complements shRNA, CRISPR knockout, or RAS-pathway inhibitor studies where M-Ras contribution must be distinguished from canonical Ras isoforms.
