Anti-MPZ Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against MPZ (Myelin Protein Zero), the major transmembrane glycoprotein of peripheral nervous system myelin. It is supplied as a 50 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is provided in an unconjugated IgG isotype format. Validated for Western blot (WB), the antibody reliably detects endogenous MPZ in Human, Mouse and Rat samples, enabling cross-species studies of peripheral myelination and demyelinating disorders such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (linked to MPZ gene variants CMT1B, CMT2I and CMT2J). Because of the high-glycerol formulation, the reagent is best stored at -20 °C, where it remains stable for extended periods without freezing, and should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles that could compromise binding activity.
