Anti-MPZ Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Myelin Protein Zero (MPZ), also called P0, a transmembrane immunoglobulin superfamily glycoprotein that constitutes roughly 50% of peripheral nervous system myelin protein. Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot detection of MPZ in human, mouse, and rat samples. Investigators studying peripheral nerve myelination, Schwann cell biology, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1B use this reagent to assess MPZ expression, glycosylation status, and incorporation into compact myelin sheaths.
