Raised in rabbit as an affinity-purified polyclonal IgG, this Antibodies.com primary antibody targets the MAGUK family scaffold protein MPP2 (membrane palmitoylated protein 2). The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1–230 of human MPP2 (NCBI reference NP_005365.3), a 576-amino-acid scaffold containing one guanylate kinase-like domain, a PDZ domain, two L27 domains, and a single SH3 domain that organizes cell-cell junctions and postsynaptic signaling complexes at the plasma membrane.

The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 50 µl vial and is validated for Western blot (1:500–1:2000) and immunofluorescence (1:50–1:200) workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in epithelial and neuronal model systems. The target migrates at approximately 68 kDa on immunoblot. For storage, keep aliquots frozen at -20 °C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.

The polyclonal composition means the reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on MPP2, which is helpful where single-clone reagents miss lower-abundance targets, and the unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to pair it with their preferred HRP, fluorophore, or biotin secondary conjugates. Intended for research use only.
