Anti-MPP2 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-MPP2 reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against Membrane Palmitoylated Protein 2 (MPP2), a MAGUK-family scaffolding protein that localizes to tight and adherens junctions in polarized epithelial cells. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a single vial, this primary antibody is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting research use only studies of junction assembly, epithelial polarity, and cortical cytoskeleton organization.

The antibody recognizes endogenous MPP2, which is enriched at the apical junctional complex where it partners with DLG1, CASK, and Lin7-family proteins. Researchers use it to probe tight-junction integrity in intestinal and renal epithelial models, to map MPP2 distribution in developing mouse tissues by staining and IF, and to track expression changes by Western blot following manipulation of palmitoylation or junctional signaling.
