Anti-MPP2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the MAGUK-family scaffold MPP2 (Membrane Palmitoylated Protein 2), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of stock and is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows. The antibody recognizes an epitope conserved across human, mouse, and rat MPP2, a membrane-associated guanylate kinase that localizes to cell–cell junctions and postsynaptic densities, where it clusters PDZ-domain partners and organizes the underlying junctional interface.

MAGUK proteins such as MPP2 are widely studied as architectural organizers of epithelial tight junctions and neuronal synapses, and the reagent is therefore a practical choice for researchers investigating cell polarity, adherens and tight junction assembly, synaptic scaffolding, and signaling complexes at the plasma membrane. The polyclonal format is well suited to detecting low-abundance endogenous MPP2 in tissue lysates and cultured cells, and the unconjugated preparation gives secondary-label flexibility for both WB chemiluminescence and IF imaging.
