Anti-MPP1 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this Anti-MPP1 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and is supplied as an unconjugated, affinity-purified preparation in 100 µl of 0.1 M Tris-buffered saline (pH 7.0) containing 10% glycerol, with 0.01% thimerosal added as a preservative. The immunogen corresponds to a region within amino acids 214–398 of MPP1 (also known as p55, DXS552E, EMP55 or 55 kDa erythrocyte membrane protein), a palmitoylated membrane protein, and the resulting IgG-class antibody has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples. Representative data show a clear band from 30 µg of HeLa whole-cell lysate resolved on 10% SDS-PAGE at a 1:1,000 primary dilution, together with specific cytoplasmic and membranous staining in paraffin-embedded Cal27 xenograft sections at 1:100, confirming reactivity against the human target. The product is shipped at 4 °C and, upon receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance; for routine short-term use it can be kept at 4 °C.
