Anti-MPI Antibody

A mouse monoclonal antibody to MPI from Antibodies.com, supplied unconjugated and raised in a mouse host. The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) applications, including ICC/IF, and is reactive with human and rat samples. The target, phosphomannose isomerase (MPI), catalyzes the interconversion of fructose-6-phosphate and mannose-6-phosphate and plays a critical role in maintaining the supply of D-mannose derivatives required for most glycosylation reactions. Mutations in the MPI gene have been found in patients with carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein syndrome, type Ib. The enzyme is involved in the synthesis of GDP-mannose and dolichol-phosphate-mannose required for a number of critical mannosyl transfer reactions.

The antibody is provided as a purified mouse monoclonal in buffer containing 0.1M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
