Anti-MPI Antibody

This unconjugated Mouse monoclonal antibody targets MPI (mannose-6-phosphate isomerase), the cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of mannose-6-phosphate and fructose-6-phosphate. MPI sits at a key branch point in N-glycan precursor biosynthesis and GDP-mannose formation, making the reagent useful for studies of glycosylation pathways, mannose metabolism, and congenital disorders of glycosylation such as CDG-Ib.

The antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a purified IgG preparation in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, shipped as 100 µl of liquid in a single vial. It is validated for western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) applications and has been confirmed to react with Human and Rat samples. Because the conjugate is unconjugated, it can be paired with secondary reagents of the user's choice for fluorescence, chromogenic, or chemiluminescent detection. For best long-term stability, store at -20 °C in small aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles; the 50% glycerol formulation protects the protein for routine short-term handling at 4 °C.
