Anti-MOV10 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the MOV10 RNA helicase

This polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com detects MOV10 (Moloney Leukemia Virus 10), a UPF1-like superfamily 1 RNA helicase that unwinds RNA duplexes with 5' to 3' directionality. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows and cross-reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting comparative studies of germline and somatic tissues.

MOV10 associates with Argonaute 2 within cytoplasmic processing bodies (P-bodies) and is recruited to stress granules together with G3BP1 and FMRP during oxidative stress. Functional studies have linked MOV10 to nonsense-mediated mRNA decay via direct interaction with UPF1, and in vivo work in mice shows that the protein acts as a dosage-dependent restriction factor for LINE1 retrotransposition in both somatic and reproductive tissues. The helicase also contributes to innate antiviral defense against retroviruses such as HIV-1.

For continuous use, store at -20 °C and aliquot the reagent upon first opening to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each vial contains 50 µl of antibody, supplied for in vitro research use only.
