Anti-MOBP Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody, manufactured by Antibodies.com, targets myelin-associated oligodendrocyte basic protein (MOBP), a structural component of central nervous system myelin expressed by mature oligodendrocytes. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal antibody and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry workflows against human and mouse specimens.

MOBP is implicated in the compaction and stabilization of myelin sheaths, and altered MOBP expression is studied in the context of multiple sclerosis lesions, demyelinating disease models, and white-matter injury research. Researchers use this reagent to characterize oligodendrocyte populations, track myelin protein levels in tissue sections, and probe flow-cytometry-sorted glial cells from transgenic mouse lines and human brain tissue.
