Multimerin 1 (MMRN1) is a large, disulfide-bonded, secreted glycoprotein stored in platelet alpha-granules and in the Weibel-Palade bodies of vascular endothelial cells, where it is released upon activation and contributes to coagulation and cell-adhesion cascades. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent was raised in rabbit against human multimerin 1 and is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 ul of ready-to-use antiserum validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows.

Investigators studying platelet biology, von Willebrand factor storage, megakaryocyte differentiation, and endothelial responses to vascular injury routinely probe for full-length multimerin 1 by Western blot under non-reducing conditions to preserve its characteristic high-molecular-weight multimers. Immunofluorescence on cultured human endothelial cells or on activated platelet cytospins localises the protein to cytoplasmic granules, supporting both cell-biology and biomarker studies. Because the antibody binds an epitope within native human multimerin 1, reactivity is reported for human samples and human-derived cell lines, with limited cross-reactivity against rodent orthologues.

Each preparation is affinity-purified and shipped as 100 ul of liquid storage buffer; aliquot on first use and freeze at -20 degrees C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, keeping an active working aliquot refrigerated for short-term bench use. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair the primary freely with HRP, biotin, or Alexa Fluor secondary reagents appropriate to either chemiluminescent Western blot or fluorescence imaging detection.
