Matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase, also known as gelatinase B, that cleaves type IV collagen and other extracellular matrix substrates. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against MMP9 and is widely used in studies of tumor invasion, angiogenesis, and chronic inflammation, including cancer metastasis research, wound-healing investigations, and inflammatory disease models. Supplied as 200 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a single-use vial, the antibody has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry on Human and Rat specimens. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair it with HRP, biotin, or fluorescent secondary reagents of their choice. For routine handling, store refrigerated and aliquot upon arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, in line with standard practice for polyclonal IgG preparations used across extended signaling and tissue remodeling studies.
