Anti-MMP15 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal affinity-purified IgG from Antibodies.com raised against the membrane-anchored zinc endopeptidase MMP15, also called MT2-MMP, that participates in extracellular matrix turnover, pericellular proteolysis, and angiogenic sprouting. The reagent is supplied unconjugated in a 200 µl liquid vial and recognizes endogenous MMP15 in human, mouse, and rat samples validated for Western Blot detection in cell and tissue lysates.

MT2-MMP belongs to the membrane-type MMP subfamily and shares the conserved catalytic and hemopexin-like domains used to position substrates at the plasma membrane, making it a useful readout in studies of tumor invasion, fibroblast biology, and developmental tissue remodeling. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the cytoplasmic tail and extracellular regions, supporting discrimination from related MT1-, MT3-, and MT5-MMP paralogs in cross-reactivity checks on membranes from cells co-expressing multiple MT-MMPs.

For Western Blot, separate 20-40 µg of total protein by SDS-PAGE, transfer to PVDF or nitrocellulose, and probe at an empirically titrated working dilution paired with an anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary and chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection.
