MMP14 (also called MT1-MMP) is a membrane-tethered zinc-dependent endopeptidase that cleaves extracellular matrix components and activates pro-MMP2, linking it to cell invasion, angiogenic sprouting, and tissue remodeling studied across oncology and developmental biology settings. This recombinant monoclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and ships from Antibodies.com as 50 µL of unconjugated antibody in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide added as preservative.

Validated applications include western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), immunohistochemistry on fixed sections, and flow cytometry (FC). Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat MMP14, supporting cross-species panels in tumor microenvironment imaging, fibroblast biology, and MT1-MMP trafficking studies. For handling, store at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light. The recombinant clonality provides reproducible batch-to-batch signal intensity for downstream MMP2 activation assays and invasion-marker immunohistochemistry experiments.
