Anti-MMP-3 Antibody

Affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3), also known as stromelysin-1, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial. MMP-3 is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase that degrades components of the extracellular matrix and is implicated in rheumatoid arthritis, tumor invasion, wound healing, and inflammatory tissue remodeling, making this reagent useful for studies of connective tissue turnover and disease models.

The antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA, and it cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat MMP-3, supporting comparative work across species. For Western blot, lysates from cultured cells or synovial tissue yield specific bands; for IHC and IF, fixed sections and cell preparations show cytoplasmic staining patterns consistent with MMP-3 localization.

Short-term storage refrigerated; for long-term use the reagent can be aliquoted and stored frozen, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles of working aliquots avoided to preserve binding activity.
