Anti-MMACHC Antibody

This polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets MMACHC, the cytoplasmic protein that mediates early intracellular processing of vitamin B12 (cobalamin). MMACHC carries out the reductive decyanation and dealkylation reactions that convert incoming cobalamin derivatives into a common intermediate channeled into the cblG and cblD pathways, and biallelic loss-of-function variants cause cblC disease, the most frequent inherited disorder of intracellular cobalamin metabolism and a leading cause of combined methylmalonic aciduria and homocystinuria.
