Anti-MLST8 Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against MLST8, the shared subunit of the mTORC1 and mTORC2 kinase assemblies that couple nutrient, growth factor and energy cues to downstream effectors controlling translation, autophagy and cell growth. Validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein and for immunohistochemical localization in tissue sections, the unconjugated IgG fraction is supplied as 100 µl of ready-to-use working stock. The antibody recognizes MLST8 in human, mouse and rat samples, supporting studies that compare pathway activity across species or that rely on archived rodent tissue alongside patient-derived material.

Because MLST8 is present in both mTOR complexes and is not itself phosphorylated at the activating sites tracked in most pathway studies, the reagent is commonly paired with phospho-specific antibodies against S6K1, AKT (Ser473) or 4E-BP1 to interpret signaling output.
