Anti-MLKL Antibody

For necroptosis research, the polyclonal rabbit antibody from Antibodies.com targets MLKL (Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like), the pseudokinase that executes programmed necrosis by oligomerizing at the plasma membrane after phosphorylation by RIPK3. Used as a primary antibody in western blot experiments, it recognizes a band at approximately 54 kDa corresponding to full-length human MLKL. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial and is reactive with human MLKL in ELISA workflows as well.

Investigators employ this antibody to probe necroptotic cell death downstream of TNF receptor activation, the kinase cascade linking RIPK1 and RIPK3 to MLKL phosphorylation at residues including S345, S347, T349, and S352, and the role of membrane translocation in inflammatory and ischemic tissue injury models. The unconjugated format gives flexibility in selecting HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-conjugated secondaries. For storage, keep the vial frozen at -20°C and prepare working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody stock.
