Anti-MLC2 (Phospho-Tyr118) Antibody

Offered by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody targets MLC2 when phosphorylated at tyrosine 118. It is validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and reacts with human samples.

Specificity is directed against endogenous MLC2 only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 118. The immunogen is a peptide sequence around the tyrosine 118 phosphorylation site (A-D-Y(p)-V-R) derived from human MLC2. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic phosphopeptide-KLH conjugate and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific phosphopeptide, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide.

The product is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. The recommended dilution for Western blotting is 1:500–1:1000.
