Dual-specificity phosphatase 4 (DUSP4), commonly called MKP-2, is a nuclear phosphatase that negatively regulates MAPK signaling by dephosphorylating ERK1/2, JNK, and p38. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit binds the MKP-2 target and is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum suitable for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows.

The antibody cross-reacts with MKP-2 in human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples, supporting studies on receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, cytokine-driven immune responses, and tumor-suppressor pathways where DUSP4 modulates ERK output. Researchers working on signal transduction, cancer biology, and inflammatory models use this reagent to detect endogenous MKP-2 expression in cell lysates and tissue sections.

Provided as a polyclonal preparation, the reagent offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, which can be advantageous when probing post-translational modifications or partially degraded protein samples. Applications include western blot analysis of MAPK pathway activation, IHC localization of MKP-2 in tumor microenvironments, and ELISA-based quantification for cell-based assays. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve activity.
