This polyclonal rabbit antibody targets Mitofilin, a core scaffolding component of the mitochondrial contact site and cristae organizing system (MICOS) complex, also known as IMMT or Mic60. Anchored in the inner mitochondrial membrane, Mitofilin helps maintain cristae junction architecture, supports inner membrane curvature, and stabilizes protein import machinery, making it a widely used reference marker for mitochondrial inner membrane integrity in cell biology research.

The antibody is raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG preparation supplied at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. Each vial contains 50 µl of working stock. Store frozen at -20°C and aliquot on first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the buffered formulation remains stable through short-term refrigeration when needed for active experiments.

Validated for Western blot applications, this reagent reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat Mitofilin, enabling detection of endogenous protein across standard mammalian laboratory models. Researchers investigating mitochondrial biogenesis, cristae remodeling under cellular stress, apoptosis pathways, and inner membrane protein import commonly deploy the antibody against whole-cell lysates or isolated mitochondrial fractions.

Provided by Antibodies.com, this Primary Antibodies reagent supports immunoblotting workflows where a robust polyclonal signal against mitochondrial inner membrane proteins is required for in vitro research use only.
