Sourced through Antibodies.com and offered in a 50 µl pack, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG raised against a synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human MITF surrounding the phosphorylation site of serine 180/73 (P-N-S(p)-P-M). It recognizes endogenous levels of total microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF, also known as bHLHe32) and is supplied unconjugated at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a stabiliser. The antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemical staining, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence workflows, and it cross-reacts with both human and mouse samples, making it well suited to melanoma, mast-cell, and melanocyte-lineage research. Recommended working ranges commonly cited for this clone are WB 1:500–1:3000, IHC 1:50–1:100, and IF/ICC 1:100–1:500. For best stability, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. This product is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
