The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 41-90 of Human MIP-1a. The antibody detects endogenous levels of MIP-1a protein, with a molecular weight of ~10 kDa. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.
