Anti-MIEF1 Antibody

An unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com, raised in rabbits against MIEF1 (Mitochondrial Elongation Factor 1, also called MiD51), a 51 kDa outer mitochondrial membrane protein that anchors the cytosolic fission GTPase Drp1 to the mitochondrial surface. The product is supplied as 50 µl of liquid antiserum and validated for western blot detection of the human target.

Common uses include probing mitochondrial fission machinery in whole-cell or mitochondrial-enriched lysates, characterizing Drp1 recruitment defects in MIEF1-overexpressing or knockout cell lines, and monitoring shifts in mitochondrial morphology in response to metabolic or stress cues.
