Anti-MIEF1 Antibody

Targeting the outer-mitochondrial-membrane protein MIEF1, also known in the literature as MiD51, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent is supplied as 100 µl and validated for Western blot detection of the human protein. MIEF1 functions as a receptor that recruits the cytosolic GTPase Drp1 to organelle surfaces, driving mitochondrial fission and linking organelle division to apoptosis and to cellular metabolic state. Used on whole-cell or mitochondrial-enriched human lysates, the antibody typically resolves a single band near 17 kDa, supporting studies of mitochondrial dynamics, fission-associated cell death pathways, and metabolic reprogramming in cultured human cells.
