Anti-mH2A2 Antibody

Primary antibody from Antibodies.com targeting macroH2A2 (mH2A2), a variant histone enriched in heterochromatin and implicated in X-chromosome inactivation, senescence-associated heterochromatin foci, and tumor-suppressor pathways.

The rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG, validated for Western Blot and Flow Cytometry across human and mouse samples. MacroH2A2 incorporates into the nucleosome in place of canonical H2A and is widely used as a chromatin marker in studies of differentiation, DNA damage response, and cancer epigenetics.

Researchers apply this antibody to probe chromatin-enriched nuclear fractions, where the larger macro domain (~25 kDa addition over H2A) gives a distinctive band shift relative to canonical H2A on western blots. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of detecting multiple epitopes across the mH2A2 protein, supporting consistent signal in flow cytometry staining of fixed cell populations.
