Monoglyceride lipase (MGLL) is a serine hydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of monoacylglycerols into glycerol and free fatty acids, including the breakdown of the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) in the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with aliquots recommended for storage at -20°C to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Suitable for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, the reagent detects endogenous MGLL in human and mouse samples and is commonly applied to neuroscience, lipid metabolism, and endocannabinoid signaling research. Polyclonal recognition of multiple MGLL epitopes helps support consistent signal on immunoblots of cell lysates and in fixed tissue sections.
