MFAP4 is an extracellular glycoprotein of the MAGP (microfibril-associated glycoprotein) family. It binds fibrillin and is incorporated into microfibrils and elastic fiber networks in connective tissue stroma. In vascular biology it serves as a marker of elastic fiber remodeling in aortic and pulmonary specimens, while in pulmonary research it has been investigated as a candidate biomarker of fibrotic lung disease. Antibody-based detection supports work on tissue microfibril architecture, stromal biology, and complement pathway interactions through which MFAP4 modulates innate immune responses.

Validated applications include Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, isotype is IgG, and the reagent is unconjugated with reactivity confirmed on human samples.
