Anti-Metapneumovirus Antibody

Supplied through the Antibodies.com portfolio, this Mouse monoclonal reagent targets the matrix protein of human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) and reacts with both circulating genotypes A and B. It is offered in a 1 mg pack size as a Protein A-purified, unconjugated IgG1 preparation at ≥ 1 mg/mL, formulated in 0.01 M phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide. Validated applications include ELISA and IFA (immunofluorescence assay), making the antibody suitable for immunoassay development as well as confirmatory detection of hMPV antigens. The antibody is reported to be specific for the hMPV matrix protein and shows no cross-reactivity against Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Influenza A and B, Adenovirus, or Parainfluenza viruses 1, 2 and 3. For routine use, the recommendation is short-term storage at 4 °C with aliquoting and long-term storage at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze–thaw cycles. Working dilutions should be optimized by the end user, with typical starting ranges of 1:20–1:200 for ELISA and 1:10–1:50 for IFA.
