MET (hepatocyte growth factor receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase whose ligand-driven activation triggers autophosphorylation at multiple tyrosines within its C-terminal tail. The Y1349 residue sits in the multifunctional docking region and, once phosphorylated, serves as the primary recruitment site for downstream signaling adapters such as GRB2, GAB1, PI3K, and PLCγ. Detection of phosphorylation at Y1349 therefore provides a direct biochemical readout of ligand-induced MET activation and is widely used in studies of MET-driven oncogenic signaling.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes MET only when phosphorylated at Y1349, and is validated for Western blot detection of the activated receptor in human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal IgG reagent is supplied as a 50 µl volume and is intended for research use only. Typical applications include tracking HGF-stimulated MET activation, evaluating constitutive phosphorylation in tumor cell lines carrying MET amplification or HGF autocrine loops, and characterizing the cellular response to small-molecule MET kinase inhibitors. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
