Phospho-Specific Detection of Activated MET Receptor

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against a synthetic phosphopeptide centred on tyrosine 1234 of the human MET receptor tyrosine kinase, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com selectively recognises the autophosphorylated, activated form of MET. The epitope lies within the kinase activation loop, paired with the adjacent Y1235 site that becomes phosphorylated upon HGF binding. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and has been validated for western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Tracking phospho-Y1234 is a standard readout of ligand-induced MET activation in cell signalling research, supporting work on HGF/MET-driven proliferation, migration, and invasion, as well as aberrant receptor signalling in tumour-derived cell lines and primary tissue sections. The polyclonal format presents a mixed clone population directed at the phosphorylated region, which favours a clear band at the expected ~145 kDa full-length MET position on western blot and crisp membrane-associated labelling in IF imaging of activated receptor pools.
