Anti-Met Antibody

The c-Met receptor tyrosine kinase (also called MET or HGFR) is the cellular receptor for hepatocyte growth factor and is widely studied for its role in embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and oncogenic signaling. This unconjugated antiserum is supplied as 100 µl in a single vial, raised against the human Met sequence, and validated for reactivity with human samples. As a polyclonal reagent, it recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which can be advantageous when detecting denatured protein on western blot membranes or capturing antigen on ELISA plates. The unconjugated format also gives users flexibility to conjugate directly to fluorophores, biotin, or enzymes, or to pair with secondary antibodies such as anti-rabbit IgG HRP for chemiluminescent detection.

For handling, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C; working dilutions should be prepared fresh and discarded after use.
